Zampell FM’s experience from its engineering and contracting background in the industrial sector has helped build a diverse set of product offerings that differentiate the firm from other facility maintenance contractors. Zampell FM has the experience and talent to supply and manage engineering and handyman service teams, including HVAC contractors, plumbing contractors, electricians, carpenters, painters and any other service our customers may need. Zampell FM seeks to bring the greatest value to its customers by offering a single point of contact so that every facility can have its maintenance needs managed effectively and efficiently.

1966: Tom Zampell founds Zampell Refractories, Inc. in Beverly, Massachusetts.

1976: Jim Zampell joins the business.

1981: Jim becomes President and CEO of Zampell Refractories, Inc.

1986: Jim starts J.C. Zampell Construction, Inc. focused on project management, which eventually evolves into Zampell FM as it is known today.

1987: Zampell FM provides quality control and construction management for the first of many energy projects in Claremont, New Hampshire.  Zampell FM provides owners representative services today.

1988: Zampell FM is awarded a major industrial cleaning project at the GE facility in Lynn, Massachusetts.  This project was a great example in how Zampell FM makes its clients more successful.

1990: Zampell FM is awarded a facilities management contract for GE in Lynn, Massachusetts.  This is the first of many facilities management contracts for Zampell FM, encompassing all aspects of managing a complicated, defense manufacturing operation with multiple facilities.

1995: Zampell FM is awarded its first telecommunications facilities management project from Verizon on Cape Cod.  By 2000, this expands to all New England locations with over 700 sites.  This contract would carry Zampell FM to all of New England.

1997: GE Aircraft Engines expands with Zampell FM to form a strategic sourcing contract to manage all of its New England facilities, engineering, and procurement.  Zampell FM continues these expanded capabilities across multiple customer sites to this day.

1998: Zampell FM wins a Small Business Association of New England Award for Innovation.

2001: In the wake of the 9/11 tragedy, Zampell employees from all companies join together to bring a truckload of safety equipment to ground zero at the World Trade Center in New York City.

2004: Thomas J. Zampell, founder, passes away.

2006: Brian Zampell joins the family business.

2007: The Zampell Companies begin a brand unification process to join under one logo and name, “Zampell.”

2010: Brian Zampell is appointed C.O.O. for all Zampell operations, including Zampell FM.

2012: Zampell FM focuses its diversified offerings on a consolidated approach for facilities management.

TODAY: Zampell FM brings together its capabilities for project management, energy services, general maintenance, janitorial, landscaping, snow, and beyond.  Zampell FM is your single point of contact for Facilities Management Services.
